When I drop my kids off to school, I tell them to make this confession.

I will rejoice and be glad in it
You are an awesome God,
A great and mighty God,
You are Elohim, the creator
Yahweh the Great I AM
El shaddai the One that can reverse the law of nature
You are the Ancient of days
The Lily of the valley
The Balm of Gilead
The Rock of Ages
The Rose of Sharon
The Cedar of Lebannon
The Prince of Peace
Lord of lords
King of kings
The Alpha and Omega
The First and the Last
The One who Is, Was and Is to come
Praise you Lord
Thank you for the cross
Thank you for the blood
Thank you for your Holy Spirit
I am an ace
I am a champion
I am a winner in life
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
My mind is alert
My emotions are stable
My will is strong
I am blessed and highly favoured
Angels are watching over me
They are bearing me up in their hands
Lest I dash my foot against a stone
I’m Blessed at home
Blessed at school (outside)
Whatever my hands find to do prospers
Wherever my feet tread belongs to me
No weapon formed against can prosper
Every tongue that rise against me I condemn.
The curse is broken
The drought is over
My future is bright
I am wealthy, healthy and wise.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus
AMEN

4 simple steps to salvation
Jesus Died for You
1. ADMIT- that you are a sinner. It is not what you have done, but the position you were born in.
Psalms 51:5; “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.”
2. REPENTANCE - a change of heart , change of mind, change of direction. Repentance doesn’t just mean saying you are sorry, it means making a CHANGE in your life.
Mark 2:17;” When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
3. ACCEPT - Jesus Christ as your personal Savior
Romans 10:9,10; “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.”
4. Pray, read, and obey the Word of God daily.
WOW
Word of the Week
Dear Family,
I want to encourage you on the subject of fasting. It is probably one discipline in Christendom that is very much in the decline. The man, John Wesley, who coined, ” God does nothing except in response to believing prayer” had an avid fasting life.
Charles Yrigoyen, Jr., in John Wesley: Holiness of Heart and Life writes:
“Wesley was convinced that fasting, abstaining from food or drink, was a practice firmly grounded in the Bible. People in Old Testament times fasted (Ezra 8:23). So did Jesus and his followers (Matthew 4:2; Acts 13:3), and Wesley saw no reason why modern Christians should not follow the same pattern. His plan of fasting sometimes allowed for limited eating and drinking. He found that fasting advanced holiness.” John Wesley: Holiness of Heart and Life copyright © 1996 Charles Yrigoyen, Jr., p. 33.
We have been praying fervently, we now need to add an extra strength to it. Jesus said in Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. There are some things that will only be resolved by the addition of fasting. Below is an excerpt from Dr Glenn Arekion’s book, “The power of prayer and fasting”. I think it will help us to go to the next level.
(Used by permission)
The Word of God is full of examples of people who prayed and fasted and changed their situations for the better. We know from Scriptures that Moses was a man of fasting as well as Elijah, Daniel and Esther to name a few. We also see that Jesus, Peter and Paul were also men who fasted. These were people who had power with God and therefore they had power over life’s problems.
Let’s look at some of the benefits of fasting:
1. Fasting turns you to the Lord
Joel 2 :12; “Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:”
Many times in our Chrisitian life, we are going in our own direction and not following the path of God. Fasting will put us back on the right track.
2. Fasting humbles you
Psalm 35:13; “But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting…..”
I have discovered that there’s just as much pride in the lives of believers as there is in unbelievers. God hates pride. The Apostle James said in his epistle that “God resists the proud but he gives grace to the humble.” Therefore when you are walking in pride God himself will resist you but when you humble yourself, you position yourself to receive from God. Fasting which humbles you positions you to receive the grace or favour of God.
3. Fasting opens a door of abundance to you
Joel 2:15,19; “Blow the trumpet in Zion, santify a fast, call a solemn assembly…Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith….”
Fasting shuts the door of poverty and opens a door of blessings to you. Many of God’s people are struggling with a spirit of poverty and debt but when you tap into the power of fasting you will break free from their bondages and be a blessing to the body of Christ as the heir of Abraham.
I encourage you to fast one day this week and see those great benefits. God Bless you

About
Step into your destiny!
Faithlift Church is affiliated with the Elim Pentecostal Churches. It is a thriving congregation with a heart to reach the entire family, young and old alike by expressing God’s love and to help them find a relationship with the Lord Jesus. From vibrant praise, intimacy in worship, the teaching of the uncompromising Word of God to serving the community, our church strives for excellence in ministry through the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
Our Core Values
Worship
Worship not just in songs but by making our life as an act of love, devotion and commitment to God. To love and worship God is man’s highest calling“So dear Brothers and sisters I plead with to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice- the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship”. Romans 12:1
Ministry
To build a place of restoration and healing, a place of new beginnings, where you can learn to apply God’s Word in a practical way to every situation in your life.“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.” 2 Timothy 2:2
Discipleship
Discipleship is growing more and more to be in the image of Jesus. God did not call us to make converts – but disciples!“You are truly my disciples, if you remain faithful to my teachings.” John 8:31
What we believe?
The program and activities governing the conduct of Faithlift Church are based upon, and at all times shall be consistent with, the following creed and beliefs:
1. THE SCRIPTURES:
The Bible is the inspired word of God, the product of Holy Men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (II Tim. 3:16. I Thess.2:13, II Peter1:21).
2. THE GODHEAD:
Our God is One, but manifested in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal.
God the Father is greater than all, the Source of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28 , John 16:28 , John 1:14 ).
The Son is the Word of flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1, John 1:18 , John 1:14 ).
The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 15:16 ).
3. MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION:
Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” “As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one.” Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10, John 3:8).
Salvation is a gift from God to man, separate from the works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. (Ephesians 2:18).
4. ETERNAL LIFE AND NEW BIRTH:
Man’s first step toward salvation is Godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The new birth is necessary to all men, and when fulfilled, produces eternal life. (II Cor.7:10, I John 5:12, John 3:3-5).
5. WATER BAPTISM:
Baptism in water is by immersion and is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. (Matt. 28:19, Romans 6:4, Col. 2:12, Acts 8:36 -39).
The following recommendation regarding the Water Baptismal formula is adopted, to wit:
“On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
6. BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit and Fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of the speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit himself gives utterance. (Matt.3: 11, John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Acts 2: 38-39, Acts 19:1-7, Acts 2:4).
7. SANCTIFICATION:
The Bible teaches that without Holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of Salvation. (Heb.12:14, I Thess. 5:23, II Peter 3:18, II Cor. 3:18, Phil. 3:12-14, I Cor. 1:30).
8. DIVINE HEALING:
Healing is for physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, of the laying on of hands. It is provided for in Christ’s redemption for us, and it is the privilege of every member of the church today. (Mark 16:18, James 5:14-15, I Peter 2:24, Matt. 8:17, Isa. 53:4-5).
9. RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE RETURN OF OUR LORD:
The angels said, “This same Jesus shall so come in like manner.” His coming is imminent. When He comes, “The dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.” (Acts1: 1-11, I Thess. 4:16-17).
10. HELL AND ETERNAL RETRIBUTION:
The one who physically dies in his sins without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire and, therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or for repentance. The lake of fire is literal. The terms “eternal” and “everlasting” used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in noting the duration of joy and ecstasy in the saints in the presence of God. (Heb 9:27, Rev 19:20).
11. THE ORDINANCE OF THE LORD’S SUPPER:
The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper shall be observed regularly as enjoined in the Scriptures (Luke 22:19-20, I Cor. 11:23-26).
